Journey into WDW

Welcome!

Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by our website 🙂

We’re a trio of friends who met at Magic Kingdom almost six years ago now. We have a lot of collective knowledge about the parks, rides, and anything you can think of. The idea came up that we should be sharing our knowledge with the world, and what a better way to do than through our blog.

Journey into WDW’s goal is to have a place where people can find fun facts, ride history, and anything else your mind can think of. If there are things you want to know more about, let us know! We do it all

Thank you for giving us your time, and we hope to keep providing engaging and interesting content for a long time to come.

About Us!

Journey into Walt Disney World was inspired by us sitting in our apartment at dinner talking about the useless facts and information that we had about Disney World. Every time we’d go to the park we’d hear a new fact from Jackson about a ride, Stefanie would bring up cool merch she likes, and Brianne would pin trade like it’s a part time job. We thought to ourselves there might be a whole world of possibilities, or in other worlds people who may want to hear what we have to say about Walt Disney World. Thus our blog was born!

Jackson, Brianne and Stefanie met in 2019 on the Disney College Program. During this time they worked at the Magic Kingdom at the park entrance where they were the first and last face that guests saw when coming to the most magical place on earth. Even though this experience had to come to an end, they grew a bond that would last years and distance. They all went back to their respective hometowns but kept yearning to be back in the sunshine state. Throughout the years they continued to keep in touch and eventually moved in together to Orlando, FL only 45 minutes from the parks, and became annual passholders.

Us at MK in 2023

My name is Stefanie and I will proudly wear the title of being a “Disney Adult”. I have been going to Disney World since I was six years old and fell in love with the Magic. I have always enjoyed all things Disney from following up on the newest attraction to watching movies both in theatres and on Disney Channel. Disney has always been a large part of my life. In 2019, I participated in the Disney College Program and met some of the best friends I could have every asked for, along with getting a behind the scenes on how the magic is truly made. This has given me a new understanding and appreciation for cast members. I graduated in 2021 from Rowan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a minor in Creative Writing, which you can see if being used for only the best. I hope the information shared is both informative and fun to help people get a better understanding of the wide world of Disney Parks.

My name is Brianne, and I am the official editor of JIWDW! I was never as into Disney as others around me, but still enjoyed a good Disney movie from time to time. I was at the midway point of my degree when I heard about the Disney College Program. I decided it sounded fun, and applied on a whim. I didn’t think much about it, assuming it would just be a fun anecdote in my life I’d look back on. Little did I know I’d make friends that have lasted years, distance, and even a pandemic! I had so many great experiences working there (bad ones too, it’s tough being a cast member). I went back home to finish my degree. I have a degree in Transportation and Logistics Management, and another degree in Supply Chain. I also have a minor in GIS-systems, and Film (gotta have some fun in life). I was the first one to finally make the move back to Orlando, I’m originally from northern Wisconsin and couldn’t handle the awful winters anymore. My former roommate from the DCP needed a roommate here in Orlando, and I thought why not. Then I convinced Jackson and Stef to come down too. It’s been a blast living here and going to the parks, we’re seasoned Disney professionals at this point. I always enjoyed writing and editing and wanted to be productive with my writing. Then the idea for this blog came around and the rest is history. I hope you enjoy our takes on Disney news, parks, and rides.

Jackson in front of the train station (his favorite place) in 2019 during the DCP

My name is Jackson and I like planes, trains, and automobiles. I’ve loved the parks since I was a wee lad, and memories of going to Disney World was one of my most treasured memories. I started the DCP in August of 2018 at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe and applied to extend. I thought all my dreams were coming true when I got Attractions for my extension and low and behold I ended up at Park Entry with these two idiots. I wasn’t on the program to learn much, I really just wanted to be backstage, and stare at attractions all day. The ability to sneak into places was a plus (Disney don’t read this). I made friends I’d cherish for a lifetime on the DCP. I’m currently finishing my degree in Aviation Management from MGA University. I enjoy going to the parks in my free time, and sharing useless facts that no one cares about, but hopefully you will!
